1. Read at least one newspaper every day. Information is power!
2. Clip and collect articles regarding others and their interests once you get to know them.
3. Read newsletters, industry publications, and trade journals.
4. Take note and take notes of things friends, associates and even things your children say to talk about later.
5. Use humor. It establishes rapport and warmth. Don’t tell off color or racist jokes.
6. Be an active listener. Take notes afterwards. This will make follow up more interesting.
