| You know the drill. Ignite butane. Close eyes. Sway. Last year's power ballad sing-along show is back with a much improved group of videos so love will bite even harder this year. Do you want to know what love is? Can you no longer fight that feeling? Well I'll be right here waiting for you with big hair and tender songs about what it's like to live love and to sing songs in the rain, because I've seen love come, I've seen love go, and I've seen it die in vain. Shot down! In a blaze of! - sorry. It's just that I'm excited for this show. Last year's 'Love Bites' was one of the best times I've ever had in a movie theater and even though we billed it as an anti-Valentine's show filled with slow songs of heartbreak and girls who left the long-haired guitar players who loved them we still had people there on first dates, we had one woman propose to her boyfriend, and I'm still holding out hope that a couple of people went home that night and conceived their first accidental child. There are still no reports of a Love Bites baby, though, so this year we're pulling out all the stops and designing a show with so much balladic power that it will literally impregnate each and every person in the theater, so make sure you're wearing protection. We've got Steve Perry (in Journey and flying solo), REO Speedwagon, Billy Idol, Bonnie Tyler, Warrant, Bad English, Jefferson Starship, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, Foreigner, and so much more. Plus, before the show we'll have a Worst Love Story contest. (Henri) |
